What are you favorite manga? Favorite genre? The first manga you ever read? Discuss!

Nice topic. Now I'm reading my first manga - Bleach ( because anime is very stupid- fillers). And genre I like generally shounen, action, samurai, fantasy and drama.

When I watched Naruto, I read the manga. I'm sick of it though. My favorite manga was the manga to my favorite anime series, Shakugan no Shana. The Lucky Star manga was good too!!

I actually like Naruto a lot... but I range quite immensley on the manga I like.

Lucky * Star is definitely awesome. (So is the Melancholy of Suzumiya Haruhi, but that's the anime XD)

Hm... what I like ranges from Shounen to Shoujo, Comedy, Seinen... pretty much anything.

Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicles is good... Wild Ones, and never forget Yotsuba&!

Naruto is just too plain long form me. I don't really get in to long anime series. In Naruto, Sasuke, or Kakashi were to die, please tell me! I loved the Suzumiya Haruhi no Yuutsu light novels. There isn't manga to it is there? If there is, I must have missed it.

Yeah, I suppose the length is tiresome, but I'm not a person that gets angry with length, so I suppose I'm fine with it.

If you want something light and super funny to read, I highly recommend Yotsuba&!

A friend recommended that to me a couple of days ago. Is there an anime to it. I really like series with anime, manga, and light novels.

Sorry... it's crazily popular, but for some reason, the author doesn't want it to be an anime. But I swear, it's the funniest thing you'll read in quite awhile.

First manga I ever read was probably Sailor Moon's anime-manga books... in chinese. XD

Got me hooked on it ever since.

XD Yotsuba&! I love Yotsuba...I couldn't fined 2-4 though, so I had to go right to 5. But I'll find the books sometime soon...or I could always red it online, yeah, but I like it better in book form.

I love the President Dad series; I'm on the fifth book already. I would definitely recommend it...I love this quote about Fahrenheit:

"So why do they call him Fahrenheit?"

"Because he changes."

"Temperatures are only numbers."

"But when those numbers change, so do the seasons."

I put it in small, even though it's not really a spoiler. But yeah...I love that quote.

My friends looked at me crazy when I sad I watched Sailor Moon, but the Japanese one is much different than the English! The English version scares me.

Wow...I was just reading more President Dad and Pita-Ten last night, and I just love the way it goes...and it's got those quotes that just capture the meaning so well...I'll have to go and find them again, then show you...but I just love those quotes. And Fahrenheit! He's awesome.

I've actually never read any Manga. So, what should I read first? I know there's Bleach somewhere in the Library. And Deathnote.

Read Death Note! Awesome, mid-boggling plot with plenty of insane, genius guys trying to kill each other without knowing who's who!!! It's awesome.

I wouldn't recommend Bleach. Too long for me, but it may get better. I never went that far into it.

Ooo, I know! It's so frustrating, and when I try to order it online at the website, they still never have the first one! I have to start on the third book of Parasyte, because they don't have the first two; so I have no idea what's happened before...it's so annoying...

Hmmm, only mangas I've read so far are one book of Hellsing, complete Love Hina and Futaba-kun Change! All were worth it

Oh yeah, I forgot, I also like Fruits Basket.

But I don't know much about other mangas.

I...have actually never read Fruits Basket. I love the music for the Anime, though; I have it on CD and listen to it all the time.
